4-Day Gorilla Trekking Safari with Scenic Beauty of Bunyonyi.

This Gorilla Trekking with Lake Bunyonyi tour will start and end in Kampala/Entebbe with gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park located in South Western Part of Uganda, 8 hours’ drive from Kampala. This Gorilla Trekking Safari is designed to give you a memorable, informative and interesting experience with the mountain gorillas. This is a safari no one should miss. You will also visit the Batwa People and later go to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation before you transfer back to the airport for your departure back home.



Day 1: Arrive Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi National Park.

You will be picked from your hotel/Entebbe Airport by the company guide or driver and then transferred to Bwindi taking Kampala-Masaka route. Along the way, there are amazing and interesting encounters that give you an insight of the cultural and traditional ways of the local communities.

On arrival in Mbarara town, visit Igongo Cultural village for cultural expedition about the traditional ways of Banyankole people of western Uganda, have your lunch and there after proceed with the safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park reaching late rather check in at your lodge and rest reserving energy for the next day. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking  and the Batwa Experience

Today is your big day. After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates.

Once you locate a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. You will see these mighty animals face to face, as a family as well in groups for a full one hour,

Later, visit the Batwa people. Known as the “Keepers of the Forest” the enchanting Batwa pygmies of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park are a hunter-gatherer tribe that has lived side-by-side with the wildlife of this ancient park for thousands of years. At these Batwa homestead, hear ancient legends and traditional songs, lively music performance, learn about the Batwa’s fascinating way of life; from religion to their food gathering and hunting techniques, and interact with the tribesmen. Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Relaxation and Enjoyment

Did you know that Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in Uganda and second deepest in the whole of Africa? Well, visit this beautiful place and have the best experience to remember? After breakfast, you will tour the Islands of Lake Bunyonyi admiring their beauty. Activities at Lake Bunyonyi include canoeing, boat riding, and local tour, swimming, hiking the highlands around the lake, pygmy village tour and much more. Just relax and enjoy and experience a breathtaking nature of lake Bunyonyi while listening to bird songs and the tearing water and consequently the feeling of the fresh breeze of the lake. You can also opt to visit some of the islands that make up Lake Bunyonyi and these include Akempene and Bucuraniko. Later have dinner and overnight rest at the hotel. Day 4: Depart Bunyonyi and hit the road to Entebbe Airport

After breakfast, you will tour Lake Bunyonyi once more admiring its beauty in the morning and see how the lake is covered by mist and admire its beauty. There after you will exit Bunyonyi and transfer to Kampala. You will pass through kabale town and continue admiring the terraces of this hilly region.

You will also make a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe and have time to take photos and experience being in the worlds Northern and Southern Hemisphere at the same time.
