This safari takes you to the Expected roaring rapids of the Murchison. From there transfer to Kidepo NP which is among Uganda’s most magnificent parks. A common comment made by the visitors in regards to its scenery is that “It couldn’t be any better!”, and oftentimes the visitors promise and actually return to Kidepo. This park offers spectacular wildlife, birds species Savannah landscapes that end in rocky horizon. While in Kidepo, you get the true meaning of being in the African jungle.

You will be welcomed by Hail Tours Uganda driver and start your safari to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way you will have a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda, where they are working hard to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda. Presently the sanctuary is home to twenty-two (22) southern white rhinos. The sanctuary has become increasingly popular with tourists; for Rhino Trekking, Shoebill Trek and Canoe Ride, Bird Watching, Night Walk, Nature Walk and Relaxation. Here you will go on a trek to see these impressive animals.
After this visit you will continue your journey with a picnic lunch to enjoy along the way. Upon arrival to Murchison Falls National Park you will check-in at your hotel, settle in, enjoy dinner and enjoy your rest at Pakuba Safari Lodge.

After an early breakfast, it is time to explore the park. On the Game drive, you will spot as many animals as possible. While driving through the park you can come eye-to-eye with the African animal kingdom like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many tropical birds. The park is especially known for its massive elephant population, huge array of bird species and big herds of buffalo. You will discover some of the parks ecosystems and different scenery with dense woodland, extensive savanna’s and rolling grasslands.
The afternoon boat safari towards the Murchison Falls is a very special activity, it takes approximately 2 hours and goes along the Victoria Nile to the base of the Falls. You can imagine; this boat safari will show you breathtaking scenery. Carefully watch the crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys and all the other wildlife and later retire to your accommodation for rest at Pakuba Safari Lodge.

After breakfast you will checkout and embark on your visit to the top of the falls. This is a magnificent classic highlight of the safari and your last day. You will experience the explosive mass of water at close range as it gushes through a narrow crevice thinking it’s in a move but in actual sense its reality.
The highlight of your tour in Murchison falls National Park is visiting the “Murchison Falls” a point along the Nile, within the park where River Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge 8 meters wide.
After this once in a lifetime experience you will leave the park and start the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park having lunch along the way. Upon arrival, you will just check into your lodge and rest. Overnight stay at Apoka UWA Bandas.

Have breakfast and then set off to explore the Park. You will go for game sighting in the Narus Valley in the south of the park. This is the section of Kidepo that has Savannah grasslands mixed with acacia woodland. It is also the area with permanent water sources throughout the year and for that matter most of the animals are found in this part of the park. During the hot afternoons, many animals collect around water sources. Expect to see large herds of Buffaloes, lots of Zebras, and antelope species and surely the lions.
Later, undertake a community visit where you will interact with the local people – the Karamojong. This tribe is the main local community inhabiting the Karamoja region and neighboring the park. They are some of the most remote people in Uganda who have not embraced modernization. Visit to enjoy their unique cultures, traditional houses called manyatta, their setting of homesteads, traditional dances, traditional handcraft stools, spears, hand bungles from beads. Overnight at Apoka UWA bandas.

Hiking may be conducted on Lamoj Mountains only a couple of kilometers from the Headquarters of the Park. You may as well go to see the marvelous Kidepo River Valley covered with Borassus palm forest; its broad flat bed is dried out through the biggest part of the year. From the Kidepo Valley, also you can visit Kanangorok Hot Springs that are situated just 11 km from the Kidepo river valley.
The mountain as well as the Savannah landscape of this park is breathtaking. The Narus valley is found within the South West part of this park; the rocky Napore Nyagia mountain range actually forms the western boundary. You will visit the stunning Natira plus Lokayot Hills.
The park is renowned for its exceptional variety of birds. Out of the Fifty eight recorded birds of prey, fourteen are thought to be specifically endemic to the Kidepo as well as the Karamoja region. Included in these are: the pygmy Falcon, Varreaux’s Eagle plus the Egyptian Vulture, in addition to many other species. later you can relax, enjoy dinner and overnight rest at Apoka WUA bandas.

On this day, you will have your breakfast very early and set off to Entebbe Airport. This will be a long drive but you will be treated with some spectacular scenery sightings en route.
