3-Days Safari to Murchison Falls

The highlight of your tour in Murchison falls National Park is visiting the “Murchison Falls” a point along the Nile, within the park where River Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge 8 meters wide. The launch trips up stream is very interesting and offers magnificent views of the falls and several wildlife species found along the shores including Buffaloes, Hippos, Crocodiles, waterbucks and birds on your experience a boat cruise on the Nile. Safari to Murchison Falls, You will also take part in an exciting trek for rhinos at Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife sanctuary located in Nakasongola district, the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda. Presently the sanctuary is home to twenty-two (22) southern white rhinos and the sanctuary has become increasingly popular with tourists; for Rhino Trekking, Shoebill Trek and Canoe Ride, Bird Watching, Night Walk, Nature Walk and Relaxation.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

You will be welcomed by Hail Tours Uganda driver and start your safari to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way you will have a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda, where they are working hard to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda. Presently the sanctuary is home to twenty-two (22) southern white rhinos. The sanctuary has become increasingly popular with tourists; for Rhino Trekking, Shoebill Trek and Canoe Ride, Bird Watching, Night Walk, Nature Walk and Relaxation. Here you will go on a trek to see these impressive animals. After this visit you will continue your journey with a picnic lunch to enjoy along the way. Upon arrival to Murchison Falls National Park you will check-in at Pakuba Safari Lodge, settle in, enjoy dinner and enjoy your rest.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast you will head out for an action packed morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park one of the best game parks to visit while in Uganda endowed with several attractions including over 76 mammal species with four members of the big five, the lion, the leopards, the elephants, and the Buffaloes. Other species include bushbucks, Uganda kob, waterbucks and warthogs, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, hyenas etc. In the afternoon, you go for an afternoon boat cruise and along the shores of the Nile and within the waters you will see lots of hippos and crocodiles among other resident creatures. Day 3: Visit to the Top of the falls and exit Murchison

After breakfast you will checkout and embark on your visit to the top of the falls. This is a magnificent classic highlight of the safari and your last day. You will experience the explosive mass of water at close range as it gushes through a narrow crevice thinking it’s in a move but in actual sense its reality.

After this once in a lifetime experience you will leave the park and start the journey back to Kampala having lunch along the way. Upon arrival to Kampala you will be dropped off at your designated place or at the airport.
